Concrete work we do in Fargo, ND

Signature Fargo Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Fargo, ND, with 16 services that run from flatwork, the driveways, patios and walks at ground level, to footings, foundations and parking lots. The price mostly turns on size, how much old concrete comes out, how much digging and packing the base needs and any finish past a plain broom texture. The schedule turns on the weather, the ready-mix delivery and, when the city requires a permit, its inspections. If a budget's tight, I'd trim the finish before the base, because the packed ground under a slab decides whether it settles and cracks. Your on-site estimate gives you your own figure.

  • A smooth concrete driveway runs between stucco houses, with gravel borders, block walls and a garage at right.

    Concrete driveway building

We build new concrete driveways for homes, digging out and packing the base first so the slab doesn't settle along with the dirt underneath it.

  • A raised tiled patio with broad steps sits beneath a dark pergola beside a pool and covered furniture.

    Concrete patio construction

Want a spot for the grill and a few chairs? We pour concrete patios sloped away from the house, so rain runs off instead of pooling by your foundation.

  • A covered backyard patio has tan stamped concrete with irregular stone shapes beneath a timber roof.

    Stamped concrete services

Stamped concrete is pressed with a pattern and colored while it's still wet, so a patio, walk or driveway can look like stone, brick or slate.

  • Concrete steps and sidewalk leading through a landscaped front yard toward a house, bordered by stone retaining walls and gravel beds.

    Concrete sidewalk building

We build front walks, side paths and sidewalks with a broom finish, the brushed texture that gives your shoes some grip when it's wet or icy.

  • Concrete pool deck of light rectangular pavers beside a blue swimming pool and a pergola-covered outdoor dining area.

    Garage floor concrete

When a garage floor is cracked, sinking or chipping, we break it out, rebuild the base and pour a new floor built to carry your car through winter.

  • A brown stamped concrete patio with a stone-block pattern extends beside a light-sided house.

    Decorative concrete

Decorative concrete covers color, stains, exposed stone and custom borders, for homeowners and businesses who want a patio, entry or walk that looks finished, not plain gray.

  • Gray concrete patio with a curved stone retaining wall, fire pit, outdoor dining set, and garden seating.

    Concrete retaining walls

Got a slope in the yard that keeps creeping? We build poured concrete retaining walls on proper footings, with drainage behind them so water doesn't push the wall over.

  • Stamped concrete patio with a tan diagonal tile pattern surrounding wooden steps to a house.

    Concrete floor installation

We pour interior concrete floors for basements, shops, warehouses and additions, set flat and level so the flooring or equipment that goes on top sits right.

  • An enclosed backyard pool with a curved blue concrete deck, screened walls, and a brick house wall beside it.

    Concrete pool decks

A pool deck has to shed water and stay grippy for bare feet, so we slope it away from the pool and give the surface a textured top.

  • Wide concrete steps and a walkway lead to a home entrance, bordered by decorative gravel, shrubs and a small lawn.

    Concrete steps construction

We build concrete steps for front doors, back doors and garages, with steel rebar inside to hold them together and even risers that feel the same top to bottom.

  • Curved blue swimming pool bordered by a broad light-gray concrete deck and stone retaining walls at a two-story home.

    Slab foundation building

Building a garage, shop or addition? We pour slab foundations for homeowners and builders, and we pack and check the ground under the slab before the truck comes.

  • Wet stamped concrete patio with a curved border, patterned in rectangular stone-like blocks beside a lawn.

    Foundation installation

We form and pour foundation walls for new homes, additions and commercial buildings, working to the builder's plans and lined up with the city's foundation inspection.

  • Wide gray stone steps descend between matching block retaining walls to a bed of white gravel.

    Concrete parking lot building

We build concrete parking lots for businesses, churches and apartment buildings, on a deep packed base with grades that carry water to the drains instead of the doors.

  • Concrete steps and a landing lead to a brick home entrance, with a black metal railing and a leaf-covered garden bed.

    Concrete footings

Footings are the wide concrete pads under walls, posts and decks that spread the weight into the ground. We dig and pour them for builders and homeowners.

  • A pale concrete patio with scored sections and a dark gray border extends beside a house, furnished with a dining set and surrounded by garden beds.

    Foundation raising

Sinking slab, gaps under the siding or doors that suddenly stick? We lift settled concrete and foundations back toward level and fill the space underneath so it has support again.

  • Aerial view of a dark car parked on a light stamped-concrete driveway with a dark border, bordered by lawns and curved sidewalks.

    Concrete cutting

Need a doorway opened, a trench for pipe or a broken section taken out? We saw-cut concrete with clean, straight edges, so the rest of the slab stays intact.

Why homeowners and builders hire us

  • Every pour runs on a plan

I scheduled jobs for a busy building company before I ever finished concrete, so I set each pour around the weather, the ready mix and the city's inspections. Concrete doesn't forgive a bad day, and I'd rather move a pour than rush it in midday heat that leaves a weak, dusty top.

  • One person from estimate to finish

The person who walks your job and writes the estimate is the one you talk to until it's done, while our crew lead runs the work on site. That way nothing gets lost between what we agreed with you and what the crew pours.

  • A quote you can compare

Your quote spells out the mix, the base and where the control joints go, the cuts that tell a slab where to crack so it happens in a straight line instead of across the middle. While you compare bids, keep in mind North Dakota requires a state contractor license on any job over $4,000, so ask every bidder for theirs.

How a job goes with us

  1. Call or send a request

Call (701) 608-1202 or send a request through the form with what you've got in mind, like a new driveway, a cracked patio or footings for a build. We get back to you within one business day to set up a time for me to come out and see it.

  2. Walk the job together

I come out myself, look at the job with you and give you straight answers, even when it's not the one you hoped for. If the old slab failed, I'll tell you why. Then I write a free estimate that says what's in the job, with no obligation to go ahead.

  3. Line up the city and the pour

Once you say go, we check with the city on what it needs. When a permit's required, we handle the application and set up the inspections with you, because the city adds extra fees when work starts before its permits are issued. Then we set the date around weather and inspections.

  4. Pour, cure and hand off

Our crew lead runs the pour and I keep you posted as it goes. We cut the joints on time, clean up and walk the finished work with you. Then comes curing, the wait while the concrete gains strength, and I'll tell you when it's ready to walk on and to drive on.
