About our concrete contractor team in Fargo

A smooth concrete driveway runs between stucco houses, with gravel borders, block walls and a garage at right.

Why I started a concrete company in Fargo

I spent years running the schedule for a busy building company before I left the desk and learned to place and finish concrete on the crews. On those jobs I saw pours go wrong for reasons that had nothing to do with the concrete itself: a truck called before the inspection, a crew standing around on a wet morning, a base raked level when it should have been dug out and packed. So in 2017 I started Signature Fargo Concrete Company to run jobs the way I'd wanted to see them run, planned tight with no wasted days.

Most of our calls come from Fargo homeowners with a driveway, patio or slab that's cracked, sinking or holding water. Builders and property owners call us for foundations, footings and lots. Concrete doesn't forgive a bad day, so I'd rather move a pour than rush it. When you ask me something, you get the straight answer, even if it's not the one you hoped for.

What you can count on when we pour

  • A plan built around your pour

I set each pour around the weather, the ready mix and the city's inspections, because scheduling was my job long before I picked up a trowel. We get permits and inspections lined up before the concrete truck is called, so your driveway isn't sitting dug out while someone waits on paperwork.

  • One person from estimate to finish

I come out to look at your job and write the estimate myself, and I'm the one you talk to until it's done. Our crew lead runs the work on site and I check in as it goes, so nothing gets lost between what we agreed and what gets poured.

  • A quote you can compare fairly

Your quote spells out what goes into the work, from the mix to where the control joints go, which are the cuts that tell the slab where to crack. If the budget's tight, I'll tell you to keep the money in the packed base under the slab and trim somewhere else, because a nice finish on a soft base settles right along with the dirt. When you're ready, call (701) 608-1202 or send us the details of your job.

Licensed, insured and squared away with the city

Serving Fargo and 2 Surrounding Cities

  • North Dakota contractor license

Licensed and fully insured. North Dakota requires anyone doing a job over $4,000 to hold a state contractor license from the Secretary of State, subcontractors included, so it's a fair question to ask every bidder.

  • Fargo licenses and permits

Fargo also requires its own license for certain trades, sidewalk builders and excavators among them, and the city's Inspections Department issues permits for new construction and structural work. We check with the city what your job needs, and when a permit's required we handle the application and set up the inspections with you, since starting work before the permit is issued brings extra fees.
